My stretcha-ability is very poor. However I have been lifting for 7+ years(I am fit and did the whole bench/deadlifts/squats deal). Also in High School my mile time was at the 5:10 mark. I have been doing the 'starting stretching program' somewhat for the past 6 months. Anyways, is this program good for me to just jump into or do you recommend the Foundation course? My time table to do it? As long as it takes and I want to make sure I get great form and basics down first.

I expect this to take several years and I am ok with that. It's probably too late but I'll disagree with the masses here. I used both h1/f1 for about 4 or 5 months before switchin go to the FAQ routine. When I switched I had a zero second free handstand. I know have a (modest)4-5 sec free handstand.

I don't like The rigidity of the programs or the attitude of Sommers. Lots of people have good handstands, front levers, side levers etc.

Lots of excellent resources online. Sommers promises perfect form but to me good form is good enough. He promises no injuries but his forum is pretty heavily moderated so hard to know how true this is. Been doing H1 for over a year. No previous handstand training.

Your current shoulder mobility will largely dictate how you feel about the course. The structure of F1 and H1 is that you perform an element followed by a mobility drill, an example would be a pull up followed by a lat stretch. The early elements of H1 wont be taxing for anyone with handstand training but the mobility might be. You need decent flexion and extension before you move on.

It took me over a year to get past the first two elements/mobility. For some people this is simply too long, it is necessary though if you want anything other than a banana handstand. Overall I would say the course is excellent with brilliant shoulder mobility drills and wrist prehab and I'm sure in time it will lead to a solid handstand. There's a lot of great exercises for strengthening your shoulders and tiny muscles you probably never use much. The biggest issue will be flexibility.
