Kimber Of Oregon Model 82 Serial Numbers

Kimber Model 82-B Rifle help I recently traded for a Kimber of Oregon model 82 rifle with the B serial number. I thought the rifle was valued at around $700-$800 but the little info i have found shows the B serial number is worth a lot more.

Here's the matched twin the the.22 Magnum Model 82 that I have on auction. This Kimber of Oregon Model 82 Classic sporter also appears to be virtually brand new! This rifle is chambered in.22 Hornet and wears a 22-1/2 inch barrel.

It is built on the Post-September 1982 style action with external bolt stop. It features a special order serial number 'RSS H89' which are most likely the customer's initials and perhaps an indication this was the 89th.22 Hornet made. Features include the hand checkered walnut stock with Niedner checkered steel buttplate and steel grip cap.

The bolt is numbered to the gun. Condition is very nearly perfect. The metal shows no wear and there is no rust or any pitting. The wood is also nearly 100% although I did see one very small handling mark so I'll grade the wood 99.8%. There have never been any scope rings attached. It comes in the original excellent condition box which numbers to the gun.
